The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office charged a Bay Area man with vandalizing 17 Waymo vehicles in the span of three days in San Francisco last month, officials said Thursday.
Prosecutors said Castro Valley resident Ronaile Joshua Burton, 36, approached a string of Waymo
vehicles on 17 occasions between June 24 and June 26 and vandalized the vehicles.
The incidents were allegedly captured on cameras installed inside the vehicles.
Burton pleaded not guilty to all charges during his arraignment Wednesday.

Prosecutors said the vandalism was connected to a prior case in which Burton allegedly approached a three-car caravan of Waymo cars and used a knife to stab their tires, incidents that were also allegedly captured on cameras inside the vehicles.
Burton remains in custody pending trial. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 23.
